Pohutukawa Kindergarten

We sent both of our children to this kindy and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The teachers are caring, supportive and genuinely invested in the children’s development. The environment is warm, fun and nurturing, and our kids absolutely loved their time there. We always felt they were safe, happy and encouraged to learn and grow. We are so grateful for the wonderful start they had here and would highly recommend this kindy to any family.

We’ve been a Pōhutukawa family for the last 12 years. All 4 of my children have thrived here and we were so sad to say goodbye when our son graduated off to school. They all arrived at school with independence, literacy, numeracy and social skills which really sets them up for success at school. Thanks so much Pohutukawa team!

I work in education and have been so very fussy about where I would send my children, choosing the right centre mattered enormously to me. Our daughter absolutely adores both the centre and the staff — and so do we! It has been such a wonderful start to her educational journey. What stands out most is the way the teachers genuinely respond to each child’s ideas, emotions, and individual needs. There is also a real sense of care in the way the staff nurture creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning in the kids. The resourcing is also wonderful, with so many engaging experiences and materials for the children to explore. Our daughter comes home inspired and bursting with stories about her day and all the things she has been up to. Honestly, I don't think you could ask for more!
