Have loved Merryland! My eldest has just graduated from there and has had the most wonderful influence - kindness, manners, inclusive, Māori words phrases and karakia, multi cultural inclusion etc. Now have my second child there and couldn’t be happier. The environment is also modern, always clean and set up with lots of activities. Lastly, the vegan menu is always so delicious and filling.

My daughter has attended Merryland for nearly 3 years now. We absolutely love the centre. Owner is a very warm, caring and passionate wahine who truly cares for each child. She knows each and every child and their whanau by name and could tell me exactly how my daughter is progressing which showed me her passion and dedication to the tamariki and their education. Centre manager is such a friendly wahine who truly puts all tamariki at the forefront of her work. She addresses any issues promptly and works collaboratively with whanau for better outcomes that work best for your tamariki. My daughter absolutely loves her. Both the owner and centre manager are both super involved with the centre - Owner is generally onsite for half of each day and the other half at her other centre. Centre manager is always on site and involved with the tamariki. Teachers are truly the backbone of this centre. From the activities planned each day, to the bond they have with each child, the low teacher turn around… list goes on! Teachers are all amazing! Same teachers have been present since my daughter started, which has been amazing to see. Each teacher has a special bond with the children and parents, they’re so easy to get along with, any concerns you address with them is very quickly corrected. Truly can’t fault them. They’ve been such an important part of my daughter’s journey. Merryland is one big family, there’s plenty of opportunity for you mix and mingle with the teachers and other parents which makes the centre feel like an extension of home. Would highly recommend Merryland x

Our son has attended Merryland since he was around 10 months old and has absolutely flourished there. The kaiako and all staff are incredibly caring and supportive, and it’s clear they genuinely love what they do. The centre has built a wonderful sense of community, with regular opportunities for parents to connect with both staff and other families. We also really value how culturally diverse the centre is. Different backgrounds are celebrated throughout the month, with activities that introduce the mokopuna to different languages, countries, and traditions in a really meaningful way. We receive very regular updates during the week about our child’s development and day-to-day activities, and it’s lovely to see photos and messages showing just how much he enjoys his time there. I would highly recommend Merryland to anyone in the area — just be sure to get in early, as the waitlist exists for a very good reason!
