Vintage Kids - Point Chevalier

Our son adored Vintage Kids and we were sad to leave the centre after 2 wonderful years. We loved the homely setting and beautiful outdoor area. The teachers were kind, patient and provided structure and guidance. The food served is healthy and delicious. A special highlight is the birthday celebrations, which Vintage Kids turn into a wonderful celebration for each child. I'd recommend Vintage Kids to anyone looking for a small, welcoming daycare.

Our son spent 2.5 unforgettable years at Vintage Kids, from age two-and-a-half all the way through to his joyful preschool graduation at five. From day one, it was clear that this was more than just a daycare—it became a second home filled with warmth, learning, laughter, and love. As parents of a child born during the COVID-19 pandemic, we were especially grateful for how the amazing teachers and staff helped him come out of his shell and grow into a confident, social little boy. They nurtured not only his development but also his sense of belonging, helping him become part of a community rather than keeping to himself. We’ll always cherish the special memories: the fun-filled picnics, the carefully prepared birthday stories and celebrations, and every sweet moment thoughtfully captured in the weekly newsletters and updates. Oh and the lovely farewell gift! These glimpses into his days gave us such joy and reassurance. Words can't fully express our gratitude to the entire Vintage Kids team. This has been an incredible journey for our family, and we often look back on these years with deep appreciation. If you're looking for a place where your child will be cared for, encouraged, and truly seen—Vintage Kids is it. Thank you for giving us (and our son) such a wonderful beginning! We miss you all and will never forget this special chapter of our lives.

Our son has been to a few daycares. None of them come anywhere close to Vintage Kids. Yes, the teacher-to-child ratio is great. Yes, the teachers are excellent at engaging the kids in fun activities. And yes, the food is next-level (healthier and more delicious than what most adults eat). But it’s Vintage Kids' belief in the power of storytelling that makes this place magic. Every day, the kids gather around a teacher who tells an interactive story, with the children helping to act it out using different props. I was surprised to see such young children so deeply engrossed in a story. And on a child’s birthday, they reach out to parents to gather intel and create a special story just for them. This is no small undertaking. The teachers are master storytellers who clearly put time and care into their preparation. We had the pleasure of attending our son’s birthday story and it was a beautiful thing to see. He sat there beaming with joy as the friends and teachers he has grown to love put on a performance featuring all of his current interests - including pedal bikes, electric guitars, diggers, foxes, and Mum. After the story, each child presented him with a handmade birthday card. Then they sang for him. It was so wholesome that dad found himself fighting back tears. We’ve noticed a big difference in our son since he started attending Vintage Kids. He’s become more articulate and curious. He’s even started telling his own made-up stories at bedtime. Some of them are actually pretty good. We are deeply thankful to the caring and attentive teachers who always made our son feel comfortable and happy. Unlike with other daycares, he never kicked up a fuss when we dropped him off. And he was always excited to tell us about his day. Unfortunately, we had to move house and change daycares once again. But I’m sure Vintage Kids has sparked an interest in storytelling in our son that will last a lifetime.
