A wonderful kindergarten with professional, experienced and passionate teachers. The teachers promote a calm and inclusive environment for children to develop meaningful relationships and a sense of agency to drive their own learning. The environment is richly resourced and thoughtfully planned to provoked children’s engagement and exploration. The daily routine is unhurried and allows children to engage in their play for long periods of time without being interrupted. Our child had the opportunity to participate in a huge range of experiences such as regular excursions, nature walks, Matariki celebrations, whānau evenings, the Whitebait Connection program and the zero waste program. The kindergarten has a great relationship with Stanmore Bay School and are often invited to join in with school fun such as cross country. This supports an easy transition to school when the time comes. We have loved our families time at Stanmore Bay Kindergarten - Highly recommend!
