Portobelo Avonhead

A wonderful daycare with a great outdoor and indoor environment for children to learn and play. We love that meals and nappies are provided which is such a big help for us as busy parents. The teachers communicate well and work closely with families to support each child’s growth. Highly recommend.

We send our son to Portobelo and he absolutely loves it here. The nursery staff are all so amazing, we see him light up when he’s dropped off in the morning which is such a reassuring sign. We viewed a few different daycares before deciding to enrol him here and I’m so glad we did. The preschool section is also a big draw for why we sent him here with their great outdoor space for when he’s bigger and active.

We moved to Christchurch six months ago, and choosing Portobello has been one of the best decisions for our child. My child absolutely loves it here. The Portobello Avondale team has been amazing in helping my child settle into a new environment. The educators are incredibly caring, supportive, and well organised. They create a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment, which gave us great peace of mind as parents. The communication is excellent, and you can truly see how much they care about the children’s happiness and development. Highly recommended to any family looking for a wonderful daycare. My child enjoys it so much that they even want to go to daycare on the weekends!
