Portobelo Kaiapoi

Portobelo has become our families second home. I’m lucky enough to be a Kaiako here but also get to watch my daughter enjoy her days here also. All the staff are caring and dedicated to building meaningful and nurturing relationships with all the tamariki and families. Transitioning my daughter into centre has been a breeze as the kaiako built such beautiful connections with her and made her feel safe and secure. She loves coming to centre each day and we notice so much growth in her confidence and social skills as she explores her environement and engages in meaningful learning and play that the kaiako facilitate. Everyday is exciting and she loves arriving to see what is happening for the day. We love Portobelo!

We absolutely love Portobelo Kaiapoi and couldn’t speak more highly of the team. The teachers are amazing and have built such strong, genuine relationships with our child and our whānau. They truly take the time to know each child as an individual. Our wee boy is so excited to attend every day, which really speaks volumes. Jo & Siobhan are always so approachable and are incredibly accommodating! I love that each child is at the forefront of their teaching and care. We feel so confident knowing our child is valued, supported, and happy in such a nurturing environment. We’re very grateful to be part of this wonderful preschool community and highly recommend it!

I don't even know where to start, all teachers and staff are incredibly helpful, lovely and supportive. The teachers communicate each day what your child has done and what activities have been on offer for the day. The fees are affordable and the ratio of qualified teachers to children was higher than other centers I looked at. The thing we love the most about this center is how the center is run (all teachers get on and it has a nice vibe). The manager and admin staff are accommodating and flexible as your needs change too. Thanks again Portobelo team.
