Puanga Kākaho

My 2.5 year old daughter moved from a small centre to Puanga Kākaho mid way through the year and the kaiako here made the transition super seamless and easy. I get beautiful updates about her learning on Storypark and have just had such a beautiful experience so far. Couldn’t recommend enough

I am so grateful for Puanga Kakaho! The teachers/ staff are caring, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s development. The environment is welcoming, safe, and full of engaging activities that encourage learning through play. Their outdoor spaces win everyone over every time! If you’re looking for a preschool that feels like a family environment then I couldn’t recommend PK enough!!

It's always hard finding a place you feel comfortable leaving your little ones each day. The first moment we stepped foot into Puanga Kākaho we knew we had found something special. It's recently undergone some extensions and renovations making each space especially for for purpose with all the facilities needed by teachers and kids each day. The outdoor area is a lot more natural than you'll find in other preschools with real grass, an epic sandpit, the hill at the back of the section, tunnels and play equipment. The preschool is fully catered which makes life so much easier, and my kid eats so much better at preschool than he does at home! They do a range of activities each day and by the time they're four are getting used to some structure in terms of mat time etc. There are lots of fun days - PJ day, spa day, water play day, disco day, wacky hair day, and lots of opportunities to connect as a community with Matariki celebrations, Grandparents day and Christmas celebrations. The teachers are amazing, approachable and loved by the kids. They're always able to tell you how your child's day was and they really get to know the kids. We're coming to the end of our preschool days, sadly, but we are so glad we found PK and will miss it when we're gone.
