Ruru House holds a very special place in our hearts with both of our children being lucky enough to walk through its doors. Every aspect of this beautiful space is intentional from the grounds and architecture to the home making and nutritious kai. The most significant and essential part that makes it stand out, however, is the people that form the wider Ruru House Whanau which in our particular circumstances have been an incredible source of genuine love and support. Every professional that visits Ruru House for our child with additional needs comments on how absolutely lovely it is and different to anywhere they've been before. There is a reason why Ruru House has the incredible reputation it has. Our child has absolutely flourished under the nurturing care of the Ruru kaiako. We will be sad to say goodbye to the space when the time comes but will take with us long lasting friendships and happy memories.

Choosing Ruru House for my daughters has been one of the best decisions I have made as a parent. My girls have absolutely thrived there, the Kaiako truly love the tamariki and one of the teachers in particular has become like a second mum to both of my girls. My daughters have played in mud-puddles, painted with dirt, fed the Ruru Kunekune pig last nights leftovers, eaten hearty, healthy and delicious meals daily, learned how to grow fruit and vegetables and so much more. The environment Ruru House provides for the children to learn is unlike any other daycare centre I have a part of. From Anna, the owner, to the incredible staff in Te Kopae and Te Koko, I highly recommend anyone considering enrolling their child to make Ruru House the first option.

Genuinely our second whanau. We travel out to Ruru from town we love it so much. The genuine care, love, nurturing, high quality space and wonderful, nutritious food is second to none. Our third child is just starting and our two older children absolutely thrived at Ruru.
