Amazing teachers! Made the transition to daycare so smooth and work with the families to ensure the best care of given to our babies! Teachers do everything they can to keep our little one occupied especially when they always have to be engaged in something.
As a first-time parent, there are so many moments where you feel like you're just guessing—trying to make the best decisions with limited knowledge. One of the biggest ones for me was returning to work and finding the right daycare for my daughter. I didn’t know many people in the area, so I didn’t have a lot of recommendations to go on, and it’s such a huge thing to leave your little one in someone else’s care—knowing they’ll be spending more time with them than with you. From our very first tour of Rewi Street, and through the settling-in visits, the team made us feel so welcome. The love and care they showed—not just to our daughter, but to us as a family—was truly amazing. Watching her grow, develop, and gain confidence during her time there has been such a joy. I still vividly remember that first drop-off during her settling visit. I’m pretty sure the whole block heard her cries! But thanks to the gentle support and care of the kaiako, she quickly settled in—and before long, it became her favourite place to be. One of the things I love most is how they support learning through play. There’s always messy play, water play, and so much more. I know that when we come home with a full wetbag, it’s been a good, fun day! Having nutritious meals and nappies provided is also such a bonus—it’s one less thing on my to-do list and one less thing to worry about. Even though the centre is split into two rooms, all the kaiako make such a genuine effort to get to know your child and your family. Those bonds stay strong, even as your child transitions between rooms. The communication is fantastic—regular updates through the app and in-person chats about their day. They’re always open to working with you on your routines and goals for your child, which has meant so much to us. We still have some time left at the centre, and while we’re so grateful for the incredible care, support, and teaching they’ve given our girl—setting her up for a bright future—I know saying goodbye will be a tough day. The Rewi Street team really are the best.
Learning Link Rewi Street has been incredible for our whānau. As a first time māmā I was nervous. The first few weeks were a bit rough as Arya settled in, but the kaiako were so patient, kind, and reassuring. They quickly helped both Arya and I settle and feel at ease 🥰 She absolutely adores her kaiako and is so happy and comfortable there. The team are caring, attentive, and truly engaged with the tamariki. Her kaiako are always nearby, patiently encouraging her adventures and support her play and learning. Thankfully, they provide nutritious home-cooked meals and nappies, which have been a huge help. They communicate everything clearly with me and have an app with frequent updates. We also love the beautiful integration of Te Ao Māori throughout the centre! It really reflects the values we hold as a whānau. I am so grateful for the aroha and support the team at LL Rewi Street! I have seen a huge development in my pepi, she has grown so much! And I'm blessed that she has her Learning Link whānau 🥰💚 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 💯
