Discovery Nursery and Cottage

If I get opportunity to award worst daycare in New Zealand, I will proudly give award to this daycare. My son attended this daycare last year, but we decided to unenroll him after just a couple of weeks. While some teachers, like Adelle, were fantastic, others, such as Courtenay, displayed unkind and bad behaviour towards the children. Courtenay was particularly concerning and one of the worst teachers I've ever encountered. I frequently noticed that they left children unattended and did not engage with them when parents left. I also observed that they combined all the kids, ranging from 3 months to 5 years old, in the same room for the first two hours of the morning and evening, as well as the entire day on Fridays. This was not communicated to us during the enrollment process. Younger kid won’t safe with senior one. I strongly advise against considering this daycare, even if they offer free fees.

Your dedication and kindness have played a big role in her growth, confidence, and love for learning. We’ve had a wonderful experience with Discovery! My child just completed their time there, and we couldn't be happier. The teachers are incredibly caring, supportive, and attentive to each child’s individual needs. Our child has grown in confidence, made great friendships, and always looked forward to attending. The learning environment is fun, nurturing, and thoughtfully structured. The van service has also been a great support — it’s reliable and convenient. The van staff are friendly and kind, always greeting the children with a warm smile and ensuring a safe and pleasant ride every day.
