Lower Hutt City Childcare Centre

Our son started here when he was 6months. As first time parents we were really anxious about putting our child in full-time daycare but from the first settling visit at LHCCC our anxieties melted away. The staff have been soo lovely and reassuring to us, we feel completely comfortable and happy leaving our precious baby in their capable, welcoming, engaging hands. He absolutely loves it there and always has a big smile on his face when we drop him off/pick him up. They are very inclusive, accepting and truly embrace the uniqueness of each child. It has such a brilliant and wonderful vibe where you know your child is safe and loved. We don’t feel any judgement on our parenting style and know we can be open and honest with them; this is such a fantastic approach. The staff are honestly some of the most brilliant, friendly, wonderful, hard-working people we have met, and we feel lucky to have our child in their care, being so well looked after. It is a brilliant community-based centre that has philosophies that align well with us. We cannot recommend this centre enough and know our child will absolutely thrive there.

LHCC is an amazing ECE centre! After being at home for nearly 2 years with my daughter I knew it was time for her to go to an ECE setting. The kaiako have been amazing with not only settling her in but also supporting me with my return to teaching. I can honestly say that all of the kaiako are all amazing teachers and all bring so much to the centre. They have helped my daughter develop the confidence to explore and learn and have built such positive relationships with her that she is happy, secure and safe with them. In terms of getting back into work/teaching, management and the team have been extremely supportive, welcoming and patient, and it’s clear they really value and care for their teachers. We love LHCC and I feel very privileged for us both to be there.

Exceptional is an understatement for LHCC - they are absolutely extraordinary beyond words! The staff work so well to create strong loving individual bonds with each child (and parent) and really put huge amounts of effort into the support and knowledge they provide. The communication is fantastic between staff/parents. I moved my child here 4 months before the big school move and the amount they helped my child grow and prepare for school in such a short time really made us all feel valued, seen and respected. I highly recommend LHCC to any parent wanting to give their child the best growth and most nurturing care ☺️
