Glendowie Kindergarten

Both of my kids attended this kindergarten, and we absolutely loved being part of such a warm, welcoming community. We made wonderful friends, created lasting memories, and experienced some of the best early learning in the neighborhood. The teachers truly go the extra mile to provide high-quality early childhood education. They are caring, experienced, and incredibly knowledgeable. Just as importantly, they foster a strong sense of community for all the families, creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. I’m particularly amazed by the number of thoughtfully prepared invitations to play—once, I counted ten in a single day! The teachers plan and share weekly updates, and they are always approachable and open to conversations. This is truly a child-led kindergarten at its heart, where tamariki are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. From a young age, the children are taught to respect and care for Papatūānuku (Mother Earth), which beautifully reflects the values this place instills. Kids learn so much here and spend some of the best years of their lives in this special place. What a wonderful environment to grow up in!

The happiest, nurturing little place ever! We’ve been part of the kindy family for 3 years now after moving both our kids out of private daycare to Glendowie kindy. Shona and her team of teachers are incredible!! Super experienced, dedicated, and show genuine love and care for the kids. The set up is awesome - heaps of space both inside and out and a huge variety of activities. The teachers set up different learning experiences each day and have a great range of learning resources. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a kindy

We moved our son here from a daycare settings last year and boy are we glad we did! The teachers at this kindergarten are incredible and my son has thrived, gained confidence and is very happy. A great sense of belonging and community. Could not recommend it more.
