I called this childcare centre yesterday asked information, as I want to enrol my daughters in, one is under 2, and one is nearly 3. The lady who answered the phone asked about my daughter's age and said they're doing 30hours free to my elder daughter if I enrol her by the end of February. I asked her if I can pop in and ask more about the condition, she said yes I can come in, and I told her that I will be there in about an hour or two, she said it's fine. I arrived at the place, entered the reception area, there were 2 ladies, one was on her phone, and the other one turned up and welcomed me. She asked about my daughters's ages and told me that, my elder one will be free for 30 hours, and my younger one have to pay. Then the other lady who was on her phone come out to me with a smiling face and said hi, which was nice. She asked me about my daughters's ages and if I wanted to put both at her centre. She said as I put both here, she will give my elder one free for 30hours and 1/2 prices for my younger one. I was a bit "what?" in my mind. I told her that, I might not be able to afford for that, can I just put my elder one? Then her attitude suddenly changed, and said "you can, but you need to apply the subsidy by yourself". I was like ... ...??? I was a bit confused, she then gave me the enrolment form and told me to leave, she said "this's not a visiting time, you come back tomorrow". I said I come to ask information and not quite understand yet. Then she told the first lady come to talk to me, and herself was walking around, which I couldn't see what exactly she was busy about. The first lady who welcomed me at the beginning explained me with a guilty face, which I could understand that, she seem guilty instead of her boss who just treated me in such behaviour. I called her is the boss, because on the website shows the photo, she's the owner. While my 2 little daughters was enjoying with toys on the table, that boss keep telling me to leave again and again. I then tried to take my kids to leave the place, but they didn't want to move, then both of those ladies, come and collected all toys from my girls and said "we need to clean up now", I then asked her if the place is closing soon, she said no. "I was like my god, I shouldn't had come here" in my mind. I looked at my girls were forced to leave the place sadly. I found this action was such a disrespectful behaviour from a place called CHILDCARE. I can't trust to leave my kids with the place that treated us with this kind of behaviour from the start, even though it's FREE.

I enrolled my daughter here when we moved in the area. This was the 3rd daycare she was enrolled in mainly due to my work and convenience. Took a while to find a daycare I can completely trust my daughter with due to her diary allergies and the fact that she doesn't settle well. We visited a few day cares around the area and none i felt was right for her, then a friend recommended we check out Galaxy, from the moment we set foot in the school to the process of enrolment, everything was so smooth and easy. The centre manager at the time was lovely and just sat and listen as I explained my concerns and what I want for my daughter. The place was clean and I loved how open and spacious it was. The teachers were friendly and I love how diverse and multi cultural galaxy is. My daughter settled right in and the communication was clear and they knew when to call me if my daughter would accidentally comes in contact with diary products. We will surely miss this centre and the lovely teachers and children. Thank you Galaxy Childcare - Mahia for the 3 wonderful years my daughter was there. She really enjoyed it and I felt comfortable to leave her in your care all these years :)

My kids started when they were a few months old & are currently toddlers. They’ve loved spending almost everyday at this centre. The staff clearly communicate with you about your child, if there’s any concerns or suggestions to ensure they reach their full potential and are ready for primary school. They embrace different cultures & it’s shows with the cultural weeks & events they hold. The staff are always warm & welcoming from drop off to pick up & it’s evident as my children love to hug & kiss their teachers. I would definitely recommend this place for any newcomers 😊
