Kiddy Winkles Huapai

We feel so grateful and truly lucky to be part of the Kiddywinkles Westgate family. This year, my son moved up to the Wairua Ruma, and I still remember how much care and thought his teachers put into helping him transition from the younger room. They made him feel safe, seen, and loved during what could have been a big and uncertain change for him. Over time, we’ve seen him grow so much—not just in skills like communication and toilet training, but also in his confidence and sense of independence. He has learned to express himself more, and we can see how much of that comes from the patience, encouragement, and genuine care of his teachers. As parents, it means everything to know our child is in such a warm, nurturing environment every day. We are deeply thankful to the entire Kiddywinkles team for the love and dedication they give to the little one.

We made the decision to move our daughter here for her preschool year after hearing so many great things about the preschool programme, and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. The growth we saw in her over the past year was incredible. Her reading, writing and numeracy skills improved dramatically, but even more importantly, her confidence absolutely blossomed. Last week she started school, and during her school visit she was asked to complete a writing and maths exercise. She was the second child to finish, scored 100%, and most importantly looked confident and genuinely enjoyed herself. It was such a proud moment for us and a reflection of how well prepared she was. The centre itself is extremely well run. The owner is very hands-on and clearly puts a huge amount of time, care and energy into creating a high-quality environment for the children. The teachers are fantastic, caring, engaged and genuinely invested in the kids. A special mention to Karl, the head teacher, whose background as a primary school teacher really shines through. He is exceptionally well qualified at preparing children for the transition to school and made such a positive impact on our daughter’s development. We are so grateful for the care, support and education our daughter received here and would highly recommend this centre to any family looking for a strong preschool foundation.

We’ve had such a positive experience at Kiddywinkles Huapai! The teachers here are incredibly caring and professional — they always keep us updated and provide thoughtful, practical advice whenever any issues come up. Our son has absolutely loved his time here. He’s grown in confidence and made a smooth transition to primary school, which we’re so grateful for. It’s clear that for Owner Allen, this is much more than just a business. His passion for early childhood education really shines through in the details and the way he’s hands-on involved every day.
