One year ago, our two-year-old started at Waka Huia. We were so impressed with the high level of communication prior to starting at the centre as well as the transition process which made us feel so welcome. The staff’s incredible expertise and collaborative approach was soon evident. Each day we were greeted warmly and amazed by the engaging learning activities. Through all our interactions, including every drop off and pick up at Waka Huia, the warmth and kindness of the staff has shone through. Our son is really proud to be part of the Waka Huia community and loves talking at the dinner table about playing on the monkey bars, looking after the worms and feeding the chickens. Waka Huia is a place where children’s ideas and perspectives are valued, and care for one another and the environment is nurtured. It is the most wonderful childcare centre!

After visiting several preschools, we immediately knew Waka Huia Childcare was the right fit for our daughter. The environment is warm and welcoming, and the teachers are truly caring, taking time to connect with our family and culture. There’s a strong sense of community, and each day brings thoughtfully set-up play experiences. Our daughter loves going to ‘Kura’ and always looks forward to it! I highly recommend Waka Huia Childcare!
